Happy Easter. Rich posted pictures and I get to do the typing, typing with one hand is too slow for him right now. Guess I better explain who or what the "residuals" are. That is Rich's name for our children that are still home- the residuals- I'm not sure it's too complimentary but they don't mind since he is always coming up with new plans of how they can stay here with us forever and never need to leave home. We got our biggest snow of the winter for Easter, only about an inch or 2 but enough to cover the ground, but Anne was determined to have a wonderful egg hunt in the yard so the Easter bunny complied and hid eggs everywhere. We did have a new twist this year, - cash in the eggs- not just candy anymore. This was a blatant attempt to get Erik interested in egg hunting again, last year he just told Anne to go get them all- but make sure to give him half- so it ruined her fun some- no race to get the most. Well, it did the trick, it did get Erik outside participating in the hunt- as you can see from the pictures he was really excited about it too! They did end up with roughly the same amount of cash, even though Anne clearly had more eggs, but she was happy with the whole experience so it was-- Happy Easter.
Rich update- he is very tired of sleeping in the recliner but can't lay down anywhere else without too much pain. He is also ready to get up and out but can't just yet so we're trying to keep him entertained, and behaving himself. I thought we would take some nice day trips, but he gets sick in the car unless he is driving and since I'm the driver right now I guess the day trips are on hold. He is seeeing all the tons of yard work that we need to do and he can't do , but he is making great plans for Erik and I to execute. I'm enjoying having him home and to myself for awhile.
