We got pictures of Erik's car up but no details. Rich posted the pictures and I was going to add the commentary at work, but work being what it is- that didn't happen, we had babies instead! So first about the cool car- Erik went shopping with a friend of ours from work and got a 1991 BMW for $350.00! It does run and hopefully after a little work it will pass the inspection so he can drive it! He has had great help and advice from our wonderful friend who loves cars and took him to the junk yard and showed him how to get a fixer-upper car. Rich and I are quite deficient in this area. We just buy new cars so we know they will run! Erik has also been getting help from the auto shop teacher at school so now after new brakes, fixing leaks, adding a radio, fuses, lights etc etc, he's about ready for the inspection. He is very excited about the whole thing, it's exactly what he has been wanting for a couple of years- his own car to work on. Now we don't have to drive to early morning seminary- that is great for us too! We have given him our own autobahn speed limit- 130km- (about 75) hopefully it won't go any faster than that anyway!
Now for Rich's update, he had surgery on his shoulder on Friday to repair his rotator cuff that he torn when skiiing in Jan. This was his first ever hospital experience and the stress of thinking about it for a month ahead was much worse than the real thing. He hand picked his surgical team and all went very well. His first night at home was pretty awful but he went to his first physical therapy session yesterday and survived that and is now on the mend (I hope) Keeping him from running for 4 weeks may be the worst part yet to come.

Glad to heat that Rich is feeling better and good luck with the physical therapy. I bet it hurts but no pain no gain right? I like Eric's car. Great color and he looks very handsome next to it. What a nice kid. I mean Young Man.
