Another nurse brought her daughter who is 12 and they had a great time being our "shadows" for the night. They did get to see one baby born, I'm not sure what she thought of that, we all kept saying "wasn't that great!" and the response was pretty mediocre. She had to do a long interview and paper, so she took Rich aside and interviewed him, he gave up and refused to answer any more questions after quite a long while! He did tell her that he had to read at "genius" level for his job and use a computer continually.

Here's the good doctor hard at work, and here are the girls trying all the surgical garb. They also blew up a few gloves and had a good time with those! (I'm not sure what she is doing with them in this picture!) The day before Erik told me that no one at the high school does job shadow day- but the next morning he called me and said that no one would be at school and he was going to stay home and shadow us. We were all going home to sleep- of course he wants to shadow us now! I made him go to school, it was a good try but he didn't get too far with that one!In other news Rich fell while skiing in Switzerland a couple of weeks ago and hurt his shoulder, he has a MRI scheduled for next week. He can't raise his arm up too well so we are worried about a rotator cuff injury which would mean surgery. (Rich would not tolerate that too well) Hope it's not that! He is sure it's nothing but we'll see.
Anne and I are going to the gym 3 days a week and working out, we'll have to post pictures of that later. We are going right after school and there is nover anyone there, which I like alot! We decided we have to get in shape for the wedding. We'll post the after pictures of our great results!

Shoulder surgery, eh? That won't keep you from getting 50 by 50, ja?
I wonder why no one wants to shadow me. I sit at a computer all day. I think the hospital is much more interesting!
What a fun night of work!! Anne looks so grown up.
I didn't realize that Dad's shoulder was still hurt, hope it doesn't needs surgery!
Looks like Anna had a ball and maybe now she appreciates what you do staying up all night like that.
You probably freaked her out with the delivery. I would have died at that age. I almost died at age 20 when I had to do it myself.
Soory to hear that Rich hurt his shoulder. WE will pray that he doesnt have to have surgery. That would not be fun but maybe better than no use of shoulder. Good Luck with that.
Glad to hear you are working out to get ready for the wedding. How are those plans coming by the way. Did Stephie find a dress?
That baby blessing was very nice and you have such cute kids and grandbaby Elsa. We were happy to be a part of it.
